Garmin has launched its latest smart watches in the US. The company has launched the Venu 2 and Venu 2S smartwatches. GPS-enabled smart watches include AMOLED display, health control sensors, advanced sleep tracking functionality and more.
Both smartwatches feature a stainless steel bezel that consists of an AMOLED display with touch screen. The screen is protected with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating on top. Portable equipment includes a wide variety of sensors that can be used to monitor heart rate, blood oxygen, physical age, hydration and women’s health. The devices also include monitoring the menstrual cycle and pregnancy.
Garmin Venu 2 can detect light and stages of REM sleep along with movement and breathing. The device also provides a sleep score to the users based on the quality and amount of sleep of the previous night. The smart watch can also provide information on how to improve sleep quality.
Both smart watches include 25 indoor sports activity trackers and integrated GPS, which include running, walking, cycling, swimming in the pool, golf, Pilates and yoga, indoor climbing, bouldering and hiking.
The Garmin Venu 2 claims to offer up to 11 days of battery backup, while the Venu 2S promises to offer 10 days of single-charge backup. Smart watches also support fast charging and 10 minutes of charging promise to offer a battery life of 1 day.
The Garmin Venu 2 series is priced at $ 399.99 onwards.
