Washington [US]May 27 (ANI): U.S. technology conglomerate Google will add a new “Save to Photos” button in Gmail that users can tap to automatically save an emailed image to Google Photos.
According to The Verge, this new feature will be rolled out to personal users of Gmail, Google Workspace, G Suite Basic, and G Suite Business over the next few weeks and will be available next to the existing “Add to Drive” button. Unfortunately, for now, it only works in JPEG and not PNG.
It’s a good time to get a more convenient way to add images to Google Photos, as the service’s storage options are being heavily reviewed on June 1st.
According to Verge, at that time, the unlimited storage of the service for “high quality” photographs will disappear and be replaced by a limit of 15 GB. It is important to note that images uploaded before the change takes effect will not count toward the new limit.
In other words, users should start smashing the “Save to Photos” button and make the most of free uploads while they’re available. (ANI)
