Washington [US], May 21 (ANI): The Slack enterprise communication platform has released a small new feature that will help the user pause notifications while this status is enabled.
According to The Verge, the function was unveiled on Thursday. While they do an interview or a call, people like to set the status to tell colleagues what they do and then turn off Slack notifications so they don’t get distracted with pings or mentions.
Before, however, to stop notifications you had to click on a second menu and sometimes people forget to turn them off.
According to The Verge, this new checkbox has the advantage of saving some time and helping the user remember to stop notifications when needed.
Slack told The Verge that this feature is active, but now some users may not have it.
To use the new feature, go to the “Set a status” menu. Then write something in “What’s your status?” and then look in the “Delete After” menu. A check box titled “Pause notifications” will appear on the screen.
Check this box and after saving the status, the user will not receive notifications while the status is active. (ANI)
