Ametek’s board of directors (NYSE: AME) has promoted 14-year-old company veteran Stewart Douglas to the positions of vice president and chief information officer.
He will replace Ken Weirman, who will retire from Ametek after more than 10 years of service, the Pennsylvania-based electronic systems provider said Tuesday.
Douglas joined the company in 2007 as vice president in charge of commercial systems within its aerospace and defense and power divisions.
His career also included leadership roles in information technology at Rohm and Haas, Shipley Europe and ITT Cannon.
David Zapico, president and CEO of Ametek, said Douglas brings extensive IT experience as the company works to transform its business processes.
