Ukraine is interested in an effective cyber-partnership with Israel, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Ukraine and Israel held the first consultations in the history of bilateral relations on cybersecurity issues,” the report says.
The Ukrainian side was represented by the Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Dmytro Senik, and representatives of the relevant ministries and departments, and the Israeli side, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the relevant cybersecurity agency of Israel.
“Current realities require an effective system to combat attacks in virtual space. In this context, well-coordinated international cooperation plays an extremely important role. Ukraine is interested in an effective cyber-partnership with Israel, “Senik stressed.
During the consultations, the parties presented cyber strategies and national cyber security systems of Ukraine and Israel, exchanged experience in the fight against cyber incidents.
The Ukrainian and Israeli delegations agreed on new steps to develop cooperation in the field of cyber defense and cybersecurity.
As reported Ukrinform, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine approved the cybersecurity strategy of Ukraine for 2021-2025 at a meeting on 14 May.
